The tables do not show the prices for all options, such as Educational Labs, Leases or Maintenance or Small Stata. If you cannot see the prices for what you need in the following tables, please contact us to discuss your options.
If you are planning to upgrade a N-user network licence, it is assumed that you will upgrade all users. The network license issued by Stata is one license for N users for a specific Stata version and a specific Stata flavour (Small, IC ,SE or MP). This unique license is perpetual, and may continue to be operated within the conditions of the license (number of users, version and flavour) forever. However, when upgrading, the original perpetual license becomes invalid and is replaced by a new perpetual license. This means that users of a network who are not part of the upgrade no longer have a valid license. If you subsequently wish to add network users, it will be at the relevant marginal rate for new users.
If you have some network users who want Stata/IC, and others who want Stata/SE, you need to establish two separate network licences.
If you have several users who currently have Stata 11 (or earlier) individual licences (except when obtained through a GradPlan), it may be possible to combine them into a new Stata 12 network licence at the upgrade rate. You need to nominate one of the users to become the registered user for the network. Please contact us to check the validity of the licences you wish to combine.
Stata 12
Purchasing the complete set of Stata 12 printed manuals with an upgrade or new purchase is significantly cheaper than when done at a
later stage (nearly 45% cheaper).
When purchasing a new copy of Stata you must select from 2 options. The "User1" can come with either:
The Stata 12 installation DVD (also contains the manual in PDF) and printed complete documentation set (21 manuals) or
The Stata 12 installation DVD (also contains the manual in PDF)
The Stata licence that you receive will allow you to run Stata on all compatiable computer platforms. (Note: that a single user licence will allow you to install Stata 12 on Windows, MAC and/or Unix computers, but only one user is to use Stata at the one time). Although licenses will not be platform specific, Small Stata is available only for Mac and 32-bit Windows. Also, Stata/MP for Mac will be available only for 64-bit Intel.

There are no special upgrade prices for academic staff and students who purchased earlier versions of Stata through their university under a GradPlan. You may purchase upgrades to Stata 12 at the academic single-user upgrade rates or purchase a new copy of Stata if still eligible for GradPlan.
